The virtual world is the gateway to many essentials: health care, education, housing opportunities, social networks with friends and family, civic life, and entertainment—all of which can boost health and well-being. Yet many of our communities are shut out from participating in this important part of modern life because they don't have equal access.
At this workshop we will come together and learn more about digital equity, and how to advocate for equitable policies that expand access to the digital world across our communities. We'll hear from digital equity experts, neighbors working in Springfield and Holyoke right now to expand digital equity, and share a meal.
