With $14 million in hand, CDCSB project helps town meet state affordable housing goals

A newly funded housing project will help Great Barrington get closer to state goals for affordable housing and address a critical need for southern Berkshire County and the region, officials say.

Baker-Polito Administration Advances New Affordable Housing Production Throughout Commonwealth

Lt. Governor Karyn Polito, Housing and Economic Development Secretary Mike Kennealy, and Housing and Community Development Undersecretary Janelle Chan joined Worcester City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr., Senator Harriette Chandler, Representative Mary Keefe and local leaders and developers to announce affordable housing awards to support the creation of 643 new rental housing units, including 397 units of affordable housing.

Butternut Farm Community Tag Sale

Butternut Farm is a mixed-income development featuring 27 apartments. Many units offer decks or patios as well as laundry facilities, storage areas, play areas, and parking spaces. Over the past year, the community at Butternut Farm has evolved due to Way Finders' new Resident Engagement Initiative. On Sunday, September 16th, Butternut Farm held its first Community Tag Sale.

Live 155 - Over $100K rebate for multi-family construction

Live 155, a multifamily affordable housing project located in Northampton, MA, recently chose to install a commercial-scale ductless mini-split system for the 58,000 square foot development, comprised of 70 residential units and ground floor retail space.The developer,Way Finders, leveraged a $105,000 rebate from MassCEC to support the selection and installation of 70 air source heat pumps, also called mini-splits. Peter A. Gagliardi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Way Finders noted that Way Finders is proud of the Live 155.
