Holyoke, MA—Way Finders, formerly HAPHousing, recently graduated 19 Holyoke community members from the organization’s Resident Leadership Program, the largest class to date.
The five-week program strengthens participants’ understanding of what it means to be leaders in their communities. Topics covered include communication, conflict, government, recruitment, culture and diversity.
Graduation speakers included Sarah Page, Senior Vice President of Community Building and Engagement at Way Finders, Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse and Holyoke City Councilors.
The Resident Leadership Program is funded by the City of Holyoke and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Way Finders and their partners know that thriving communities start with the people who live there.
