On December 13, after months of legislative discussion, Governor Baker signed House Bill 4269. This bill finalizes the allocation of $4 billion to propel the state’s post-pandemic recovery through investments in jobs, infrastructure, public health and human services, and housing. The investment in direct housing? It amounts to nearly $600 million—representing 15% of the total bill.

Way Finders is optimistic that some of this recovery funding will bring long-lasting benefits to our region’s housing continuum—and that we can play a meaningful role by building more housing, increasing access for renters and homeowners, and helping communities equitably grow and thrive.
