Way Finders to present at 15th annual Commonwealth Workforce Coalition Conference

The Commonwealth Workforce Coalition (CWC) provides learning and development opportunities for the professional workforce development staff supporting individuals and families in pursuit of careers that provide good jobs. Now a program of the University of Massachusetts Boston Center for Social Policy, CWC builds the skills and knowledge of workforce development practitioners to improve the employment outcomes for unemployed and underemployed individuals.

This year, the conference theme is Advancing Equity. Way Finders will be presenting with Advocates for Human Potential (based in Houston, TX) and Brandeis University on their workshop titled "Employment Focus in a Housing First World."In this workshop, attendees will learn about the unique barriers that homeless families face when becoming rehoused and how these barriers can affect their return to the workforce. They will also learn about the interventions used to assist these families in obtaining and retaining employment and why this is critical to the economic empowerment of these families.

The conference will be held on May 3rd, 2018 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. For more details, please visit the conference page.   Register Now to get the early bird rate of $150!  Early bird registration ends on April 4th.
