Standing out for digital inclusion
If you can read this post...
…it means you likely have the access, experience, and tools to easily navigate the web. You’re on one side of the digital divide. On the other side are communities and individuals that want the same kind of access to affordable internet, devices and digital skills you might take for granted!
Last Tuesday the Connect Hampden County Coalition, a resident-led, resident-driven coalition advocating for digital access for all held a stand-out in front of the Way Finders office to raise awareness of the digital divide, celebrate community-driven solutions, and advocate for policies that ensure everyone has access to affordable internet, devices, and digital skills. It was part of national Digital Inclusion Week which unites more than 2,000 organizations across the country in the shared mission of making digital equity a reality.
The standout was convened by Way Finders Community Building and Engagement team.
