Invest In Community. Invest in Way Finders. Through a competitive funding program, the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development has allocated Community Investment Tax Credits (CITC) to Way Finders to be used to match donations of $1,000 or more from local residents and businesses. Full details can be found at the Community Development section of the department's website: www.macdc.org/how-it-works

  • The tax credit is equal to 50% of a donation of $1,000 or more made by a corporation, an individual or a nonprofit institution.

  • If you do not owe state income tax, the tax credit will be paid to you directly; it is "refundable."

  • Donors may also be eligible for federal tax deduction for their donation.

  • Eligible donations made during the current calendar year will result in a certificate of tax credits to be redeemed on this year's tax returns.
