The course covers finding, financing, purchasing and maintaining a home. Participants receive a certificate of completion that is necessary to access several down payment assistance programs and special mortgage products.

derek’s experience

Imagine the desperation of living on the streets with two young children. This was Derek's reality until he was referred to Way Finders. We were able to help him find a short-term housing solution and a temporary job. Several years later, with a long-term job and some unfinished business to tend to, he returned to Way Finders. Derek had always dreamed of owning a home and with out help he started to make his dream a reality. We provided financial education and credit counseling while Derek did the heavy lifting.
